ETA Political Party
ETA (Eusko Alderdi Ta Askatasuna) was a Basque nationalist and separatist organization in Spain, founded in 1959. Its main goal was to achieve independence for the Basque Country through armed struggle and political activism. Over time, ETA became known for carrying out bombings, assassinations, and other violent acts. In 2011, ETA announced a ceasefire, and in 2018, it officially disbanded, ending its militant activities. While it was once a significant influence in Basque politics, ETA's actions were widely condemned, and its disbandment marked a shift toward peaceful methods for seeking Basque autonomy.
