EQ-5D
EQ-5D is a standardized questionnaire used to measure a person's health-related quality of life. It asks about five areas: mobility, self-care, usual activities, pain/discomfort, and anxiety/depression. Respondents rate their current state in each area, which helps healthcare providers understand overall well-being and track changes over time. The results can be combined into a single index value, useful for comparing health status across individuals or populations, informing medical decisions, and evaluating treatment outcomes. In essence, EQ-5D provides a simple yet comprehensive snapshot of how health impacts daily life.
