Epistemic Access
Epistemic access refers to our ability to know, understand, or gain information about the world, facts, or situations. It involves the ways in which we are able to connect with knowledge—whether through perception, reason, memory, or reliable sources. Essentially, it explores the conditions that make knowledge possible for us: what it takes to genuinely know something versus merely having hearsay or suspicion. Epistemic access is fundamental to understanding epistemology, the study of knowledge, as it addresses questions about the limits and sources of our awareness and understanding.
