Epidemiological Triad
The Epidemiological Triad is a model used to understand infectious diseases. It consists of three components: the agent (the pathogen that causes the disease, like a virus or bacteria), the host (the person or animal that can get infected), and the environment (the external factors that affect the agent and host, like sanitation or climate). These elements interact with each other, meaning that changes in one can impact the others. For example, if a new strain of a virus emerges (the agent), it may find more hosts (people) in an environment that lacks proper health measures.
