Energy Metabolism

Energy metabolism is the process by which your body converts the food you eat into usable energy. When you consume carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, your body breaks them down into smaller molecules. These molecules are then transformed through chemical reactions into a form called ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which powers various bodily functions such as movement, thinking, and repair. Essentially, energy metabolism is how your body efficiently obtains, converts, and utilizes energy from food to keep your organs and tissues functioning properly.
