Endovascular Intervention

Endovascular intervention is a minimally invasive procedure used in interventional cardiology to treat heart and blood vessel conditions. Instead of making large incisions, doctors insert thin tubes, called catheters, through small punctures in the skin, usually in the groin or wrist. These catheters are guided to the heart or blood vessels, where they can deliver treatments, such as balloons to open narrowed arteries or stents to keep them open. This approach typically results in less pain, quicker recovery, and fewer complications compared to traditional surgery, making it a preferred choice for many cardiovascular issues.
