Emperor Qin

Emperor Qin, also known as Qin Shi Huang, was the first emperor of unified China, ruling from 221 to 210 BCE. He is best known for centralizing power, standardizing currency, measurements, and writing, which helped unify the diverse regions of China. Qin is famous for his ambitious projects, including the initial construction of the Great Wall and the Terracotta Army, built to accompany him in the afterlife. Despite his achievements, his reign was also marked by harsh legalism, censorship, and forced labor. Qin's policies laid the foundation for the future Chinese imperial system, influencing Chinese history for centuries.
