Elitism
Elitism is the belief that certain individuals or groups, often because of their skills, knowledge, or status, are better suited to lead or make decisions than others. It suggests that society or organizations should be guided by those who are considered the most talented, educated, or capable, rather than by wider public participation. While it can aim to promote excellence and efficiency, critics argue it may also lead to inequality and a lack of representation for the broader population. Essentially, elitism values a select group as inherently more qualified to have influence or authority.
