Elevators

Elevators are transport systems within buildings that move people and goods vertically between floors. They operate using a motorized system that raises and lowers a cab (the enclosed space passengers use) along guided rails. Most modern elevators use a counterweight and a pulley system or hydraulic pistons to facilitate smooth, efficient movement while conserving energy. They are equipped with safety features like brakes, alarm systems, and emergency communication devices. Elevators enhance accessibility and convenience, especially in tall buildings, enabling quick and safe transit across multiple levels without the need for stairs.
