Elba Island LNG
Elba Island LNG is a facility in Georgia that converts natural gas into liquefied natural gas (LNG) for easier transportation and storage. By cooling the gas to very low temperatures, it becomes a liquid, reducing its volume significantly. This makes it possible to ship the gas globally, especially where pipelines are unavailable. The facility then regasifies the LNG back into gas for distribution to power plants, industries, and homes. Elba Island LNG plays a key role in managing energy supplies and supporting the global natural gas market through efficient transfer and storage.
