Eid al-Adha festival
Eid al-Adha, also known as the "Festival of Sacrifice," is a significant Islamic holiday that commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son in obedience to God. It coincides with the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca. During the festival, Muslims around the world perform prayers, give charity, and sacrifice an animal such as a sheep, goat, or cow. The meat is then distributed to the needy, symbolizing generosity and obedience. Eid al-Adha emphasizes faith, devotion, and community, marking a time for reflection, gratitude, and charitable acts.
