Ego States
Ego states are distinct parts of our personality that influence how we think, feel, and behave in different situations. Think of them as internal roles or perspectives—like a critical thinker, a caring parent, or a playful child—that we switch between. These states develop through life experiences and help us adapt, communicate, and navigate relationships. Recognizing our ego states allows us to understand our reactions better, manage emotions more effectively, and improve interactions with others by acting more consciously and authentically.
