Ego-Involvement
Ego-involvement refers to how much a person’s self-worth or identity is connected to a particular belief, issue, or topic. When someone is highly ego-involved, their opinions or feelings about that subject are closely linked to their sense of self, making them more emotionally invested and less open to change. Conversely, low ego-involvement means the issue isn't as central to their identity, so they may be more flexible or open-minded. Essentially, ego-involvement influences how strongly someone reacts to discussions or challenges related to their core beliefs.
