EFL Championship
The EFL Championship is the second-highest professional football league in England, below the Premier League. It features 24 teams competing annually, with the goal of finishing in the top positions to be promoted to the Premier League. The league operates on a system of promotion and relegation: the top two teams earn automatic promotion, while teams finishing 3rd to 6th compete in playoffs for an additional promotion spot. The bottom three teams are relegated to the third tier, known as League One. The Championship is highly competitive and widely watched, serving as a crucial step for clubs aiming to reach the top flight of English football.
