Ebbinghaus, Hermann
Hermann Ebbinghaus was a German psychologist known for his pioneering work in memory research. In the late 19th century, he conducted experiments on himself to understand how we learn and forget information. He introduced the "Ebbinghaus Forgetting Curve," which illustrates how quickly we lose memories over time if we don’t review them. His studies emphasized the importance of repetition in learning and highlighted that forgetting is most rapid shortly after learning. Ebbinghaus's findings laid the groundwork for modern psychology's understanding of memory processes and the development of effective learning techniques.
