Eastern Church
The Eastern Church, also known as the Eastern Orthodox Church, is a Christian tradition that developed primarily in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. It shares core beliefs with other Christian churches, such as the Trinity and Jesus' resurrection, but differs in certain practices, traditions, and liturgy. The Eastern Church emphasizes the continuity of Holy Tradition, the authority of the Ecumenical Councils, and a distinctive style of worship, often involving rich rituals and icons. It remained separate from the Western (Roman Catholic) Church after the Great Schism of 1054, maintaining its own hierarchy and spiritual practices.
