Easter computation

Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after the first full moon occurring on or after the spring equinox (around March 21). Since the full moon's date varies each year based on lunar cycles, the Church uses ecclesiastical approximations to determine it. If the full moon falls on a Sunday, Easter is the next Sunday. This calculation blends solar and lunar calendars to align the holiday with both astronomical events and historical traditions, ensuring Easter's date shifts yearly within a March 22 to April 25 range.
