Easter calculation

Easter is calculated as the first Sunday after the first full moon occurring on or after the vernal equinox (approximately March 21). This means Easter can fall anywhere between March 22 and April 25. The Church uses this formula, established by the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD, to maintain a connection to the timing of the Jewish Passover, as Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus, which is linked to Passover. Essentially, it's about aligning the Christian celebration with seasonal and lunar cycles.
