Earl of Warwick (Richard Neville)
Richard Neville, the 16th Earl of Warwick (1428–1471), was a key figure during the Wars of the Roses, a series of civil wars for control of the English throne. Known as the "Kingmaker," he played a crucial role in the rise and fall of various kings, notably supporting Edward IV of the Yorkist faction before turning against him. He was a skilled politician and military leader, influencing the course of English history through his alliances and betrayals. His ambitions ultimately led to conflict with both Edward IV and Henry VI’s supporters, culminating in his death at the Battle of Barnet.
