E.score (Execution score)
The E-score, or Execution score, is a part of gymnastics scoring that evaluates how well an athlete performs their routine’s specific skills, such as jumps, flips, and landings. It reflects the precision, technique, and overall quality of these movements, separate from the difficulty of the routine. Judges assess both the correctness and the cleanliness of each element, awarding points based on how accurately and smoothly they are executed. A higher E-score indicates a more flawless performance, emphasizing technical skill and consistency rather than just difficulty level.
