Doug McKenzie

Doug McKenzie was a Canadian actor and comedian best known as a character on the sketch comedy show “SCTV” in the 1980s. He, along with his co-host, created the comedic persona of a stereotypical "Canuck"—a humorous, exaggerated Canadian—often seen wearing a flannel shirt and talking about Canadian culture. The character was part of a parody of American TV shows and became popular for its humor about Canadian stereotypes. Outside of "SCTV," Doug also appeared in movies and TV, but he is mainly remembered for his role as the humorous, oversized Canadian character that played on national pride with comedic flair.
