
Doug Jones
Doug Jones is an American politician and attorney who served as the U.S. Senator from Alabama from 2018 to 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, he gained national attention by winning a special election in 2017, becoming the first Democrat to hold a U.S. Senate seat in Alabama since 1997. Jones is known for his moderate views and his emphasis on bipartisanship. Before his Senate career, he was recognized for successfully prosecuting racially motivated bombings and for advocating for civil rights.
