Dorsal Root Ganglia
Dorsal Root Ganglia are small clusters of nerve cell bodies located along the spinal nerves near the spine. They act as relay stations that receive sensory information—such as touch, pain, temperature, and pressure—from different parts of the body. The nerve signals collected by these ganglia are then transmitted to the brain and spinal cord for processing. Essentially, dorsal root ganglia help your nervous system detect sensations and send that information to your brain, enabling you to feel and respond to your environment effectively.
