DORA (Discover, Offer, Request, Acknowledge) process

The DORA process is a method used in network communication to assign and arrange IP addresses within a network. It consists of four steps: Discover (the device finds a DHCP server), Offer (the server offers an IP address), Request (the device requests to use that IP), and Acknowledge (the server confirms and assigns the IP). This sequence ensures devices get unique addresses smoothly, enabling proper communication within the network. It simplifies network management by automating IP assignment, reducing conflicts, and maintaining efficient connectivity.
