Donald H. Menzel was an American astronomer and astrophysicist known for his work on the Sun and other celestial phenomena. He conducted extensive research on solar physics, including sunspots, solar eclipses, and the Sun's atmosphere. Menzel was also a popular science advocate, writing books and giving lectures to help the public understand astronomy.
