Do Not Call Registry

The Do Not Call Registry is a list maintained by the government that allows consumers to opt out of receiving unsolicited sales calls from telemarketers. Once registered, telemarketers are legally prohibited from calling your number for sales purposes, helping to reduce unwanted interruptions. It applies to most telemarketing calls, but doesn’t block calls from political organizations, charities, or certain survey calls. Registration is free, and it’s advisable to renew your registration every few years to ensure continued protection. The registry aims to respect consumer privacy while still allowing legitimate calls from legitimate organizations.
