Distillation Column

A distillation column is a device used to separate different components of a liquid mixture based on their boiling points. It works by heating the mixture so that the more volatile parts turn into vapor and rise through the column. As the vapor cools, it condenses back into liquid at different levels, allowing each component to be collected separately. This process is commonly used in industries like oil refining and chemical manufacturing to obtain pure substances from complex mixtures efficiently.
