Dikasteria
Dikasteria refers to the ancient Greek system of judicial and administrative bodies. In the context of Athenian democracy, these were specialized courts that dealt with various legal matters, such as public offenses and disputes among citizens. Each dikasterion had a jury made up of ordinary citizens who would listen to cases and reach verdicts. This system allowed for broader participation in governance and justice by involving everyday people in legal processes, contributing to the principles of democracy in ancient Athens.
