Digit system

The digit system is a way of representing numbers using symbols called digits, typically 0 through 9 in the decimal system. Each position in a number has a value based on its place—units, tens, hundreds, etc.—which determines how much that digit contributes to the overall number. This positional system allows us to write and interpret any large or small number efficiently. Different numeral systems exist (like binary or hexadecimal), but the core idea remains assigning values to digits based on their position to represent quantities accurately.
