dichotic listening

Dichotic listening is a psychological experiment where different sounds or messages are played simultaneously into each ear. It tests how our brain processes and prioritizes information, revealing how each hemisphere of the brain specializes in different tasks. For example, if a person hears one story in the right ear and another in the left, they tend to focus on and remember the story in the right ear because the left brain, which is dominant for language, more directly processes sounds from the right ear. This method helps researchers understand attention, perception, and brain lateralization.
