Dialysis Equipment

Dialysis equipment is a medical device used to mimic the kidney's function of filtering waste, excess fluid, and toxins from the blood when the kidneys can’t do so naturally. It typically consists of a machine, a dialyzer (artificial kidney), and tubes that connect to the patient’s blood vessels. During treatment, blood is drawn from the body, cleaned inside the dialyzer, and then returned. This process helps maintain proper fluid and electrolyte balance, ensuring the body functions effectively despite kidney failure. Dialysis equipment plays a vital role in supporting patients with chronic kidney disease or acute kidney injury.
