Diagnostic Endoscopy
Diagnostic endoscopy is a medical procedure that allows doctors to examine the inside of a patient's body, typically the digestive tract, using a flexible tube with a camera called an endoscope. This tube is gently inserted through the mouth or another opening, enabling the doctor to visualize and assess any abnormalities, such as inflammation, tumors, or other issues. The procedure is usually done in a clinic or hospital, often with sedation to ensure comfort. Diagnostic endoscopy helps in diagnosing conditions, guiding treatment, and sometimes obtaining samples for further testing.
