Deviated Nasal Septum

A deviated nasal septum occurs when the thin wall between your nostrils, called the septum, is displaced to one side. This misalignment can lead to breathing difficulties, nasal congestion, frequent sinus infections, and even snoring. It can be caused by genetics or injury to the nose. Many people may not notice significant issues, but for others, it can affect their quality of life. Treatment options range from medications to relieve symptoms to surgical procedures known as septoplasty for correcting the deviation.
