Dene National

The Dene Nation refers to a group of Indigenous peoples in Canada, primarily located in the northern regions of the territories, including the Northwest Territories and parts of Yukon and British Columbia. They are part of the larger Athabaskan-speaking family and include various communities such as the Slavey, Dogrib, and Chipewyan. The Dene have a rich cultural heritage, traditionally relying on hunting, fishing, and gathering.
