Demilitarization
Demilitarization is the process of reducing or eliminating a country's military forces, weapons, and military infrastructure, often as part of peace agreements or efforts to prevent conflict. It involves disarming military personnel, dismantling weapon storage sites, and shifting resources from military to civilian use. This process aims to promote stability, trust, and peaceful coexistence between nations or regions by limiting military capabilities that could be used for conflict or aggression. Demilitarization can be temporary or permanent and is usually overseen by international organizations or agreements to ensure compliance and effective disarmament.
