Decrees of Kutná Hora

The Decrees of Kutná Hora were a series of laws established in 1418 to address the political and social conflicts following the Hussite Wars in Bohemia. They aimed to promote peace by limiting the power of the nobility and asserting the authority of the king and the church. The decrees called for religious tolerance, reduced the influence of certain aristocrats, and emphasized the importance of ecclesiastical authority. Although not fully successful, they reflected efforts to stabilize the region and control ongoing religious and political tensions during a turbulent period in Czech history.
