De Minimis Aid
De Minimis Aid refers to small amounts of financial support that governments can provide to businesses without needing to notify or seek approval from the European Commission, under State Aid Law. The idea is that such minimal aid won't distort competition or trade in the EU. Typically, each company can receive up to a specified limit (for example, around €200,000 over three years) without restrictions. This allows governments to support small businesses easily and encourages economic growth without complicating regulations or creating unfair advantages.
