DB Cooper
D.B. Cooper is the name given to an unidentified man who hijacked a commercial airplane in 1971, extorted $200,000 in ransom, and then parachuted from the plane, disappearing without a trace. Despite an extensive investigation, his identity and fate remain unknown. The case remains the only unsolved hijacking in U.S. history to end with the perpetrator missing and leads to ongoing fascination and speculation.
