Dayak

The Dayak are indigenous peoples native to Borneo, an island in Southeast Asia divided among Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei. They have a rich cultural heritage, including unique traditional dances, rituals, and elaborate tattooing. Historically, many Dayak communities were skilled in forest farming, hunting, and crafting. Known for their close relationship with the rainforest, they play a vital role in conserving Borneo’s natural environment. Although diverse in languages and customs across different groups, the Dayak share a strong sense of community, cultural identity, and a deep connection to their land and traditions.
