David Wright (baseball)

David Wright is a retired American baseball player best known for his time with the New York Mets in Major League Baseball (MLB). He played third base and was renowned for his strong hitting, defensive skills, and leadership on and off the field. Wright made multiple All-Star teams and was a key player for the Mets, helping them reach the World Series in 2015. Known as "The Captain," he became a beloved figure for fans due to his work ethic and dedication to the team. His career was sadly hampered by injuries, leading to his retirement in 2018.
