Darius II
Darius II was a Persian king who ruled the Achaemenid Empire from around 423 to 404 BCE. He was part of the royal Achaemenid dynasty and succeeded his father, Artaxerxes I. Darius II focused on maintaining the empire's stability amid internal rebellions and external threats. His reign was marked by diplomatic efforts and military campaigns, including conflicts with Greece. Although not as famous as other Persian rulers, he played a key role in the empire's later years, helping to preserve its power until internal issues and external pressures eventually led to its decline.
