Dōgen's non-duality

Dōgen’s concept of non-duality asserts that reality isn’t divided into separate entities or concepts, such as self and other, subject and object. Instead, everything is interconnected and arises together without a fixed boundary. This perspective emphasizes that dualistic distinctions are constructs of the mind, and true understanding comes from experiencing the unity and fluidity of all existence in the present moment. In essence, non-duality encourages seeing beyond contrasts, recognizing that separation is an illusion, and appreciating that all phenomena are part of a seamless, interconnected whole.
