Czech National Council
The Czech National Council was the legislative body responsible for making laws in the Czech part of Czechoslovakia from 1969 to 1992. It functioned as a representative assembly where elected members debated and approved laws related to Czech affairs, functioning alongside the federal legislature of Czechoslovakia. Its role was to oversee regional governance, pass legislation pertinent to the Czech region, and represent Czech interests within the federal structure. After the peaceful dissolution of Czechoslovakia in 1993, its functions were replaced by the Czech National Council, which eventually evolved into the modern Parliament of the Czech Republic.
