Cupping Methods
Cupping methods involve placing glass, plastic, or silicone cups on the skin to create suction. This suction lifts the skin and underlying tissues, promoting blood flow, easing muscle tension, and encouraging healing. The cups can be left in place for several minutes or moved around during a technique called massage cupping. This practice is often used in traditional medicine and sports therapy to reduce pain, inflammation, and improve circulation. While generally safe when performed properly, some people may experience temporary skin redness or discomfort after the treatment.
