Culloden Moor
Culloden Moor is a historic battlefield located in northeastern Scotland, where the Battle of Culloden took place on April 16, 1746. This fierce clash was the final confrontation of the Jacobite Rising, in which government forces defeated the Scottish Jacobite rebels seeking to restore Bonnie Prince Charlie to the throne. The battle marked the end of significant armed support for the Jacobite cause and led to major cultural and political changes in Scotland. Today, Culloden Moor is a preserved site with a visitor center, serving as a poignant reminder of Scottish history and the conflicts that shaped the nation.
