CUD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a progressive lung condition that makes breathing difficult. It involves long-term airflow obstruction caused mainly by damage to the lungs from smoking or exposure to pollutants. The disease reduces the lungs' ability to expel air, leading to symptoms like persistent cough, shortness of breath, especially during activity, and wheezing. COPD is manageable with medications, lifestyle changes, and breathing therapies, but it cannot be cured. Early diagnosis and proper care can improve quality of life and slow its progression.
