Cucumber mosaic virus

Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) is a common plant virus that infects many types of vegetables, fruits, and ornamental plants. It spreads mainly through insects like aphids, as well as infected plant debris and tools. Once inside a plant, CMV disrupts normal growth, causing mottled, yellowed, or distorted leaves, and stunted or malformed fruits and flowers. This reduces plant health and crop yields. Although there’s no cure for the virus, managing insect populations, removing infected plants, and practicing good hygiene can help prevent its spread.
