cranial surgery
Cranial surgery, often referred to as neurosurgery, involves surgical procedures on the brain or skull. It is performed to treat conditions such as brain tumors, traumatic brain injuries, aneurysms, or infections. Surgeons make an incision in the scalp and remove a section of the skull, known as a bone flap, to access the brain. The procedure can involve removing damaged tissue, repairing blood vessels, or even implanting devices. After the surgery, the bone flap is replaced, and the scalp is sutured. This type of surgery aims to improve neurological function and enhance the patient’s quality of life.
