Covalent bond

A covalent bond is a connection between two atoms where they share electrons to achieve stability. Electrons orbit atoms in clouds, and sharing allows each atom to fill its outermost electron shell, making both more stable. This type of bond typically forms between nonmetal atoms. Imagine two friends sharing a pair of objects so each has access to both, creating a stronger, more balanced relationship. Covalent bonds result in molecules, which are the building blocks of everything around us, from water to the air we breathe.
