Council of Cardinals

The Council of Cardinals is a group of around nine bishops from different countries, chosen by the Pope to advise on important Church matters, especially governance and reform. Established by Pope Francis in 2013, its role is to offer counsel, help trim administrative complexities, and assist in selecting future Pope leaders. The council meets regularly in Rome, providing expert insights to support the Pope's leadership of the global Catholic Church.
